Secondary dust removal in steelmaking refers to the environmental pollution caused by dust overflow that cannot be captured by the primary dust removal system during converter steelmaking. Dust overflow occurs in the following scenarios: Firstly, the processes of charging molten iron into the steelmaking furnace, tapping steel and slag are not within the capture range of the primary dust removal system, resulting in dust overflow. Secondly, during the addition of reducing agents, alloy materials and oxygen-blown smelting, the sudden surge in flue gas output is difficult for the primary dust removal system to capture, leading to such air pollution. The secondary dust pollution in steelmaking is large in volume and contains molten metal droplets, thus seriously polluting the surrounding environment and on-site working environment. Through multiple on-site investigations and researches, Tangshan Shengshi Environmental Protection (SSEP) has designed a complete set of scientific and reliable treatment scheme featuring unique dust collection hoods and buffer hoods. This scheme saves nearly 10% of the dust removal air volume compared with conventional designs, and has achieved excellent practical results since its implementation!
